IMX™ Needle

Intended Use

The IMX™ needle is a sterilized, single use, general surgical use hypodermic needle. It is compatible with off the shelf syringes with luer slip or luer-lock connection and has an inner lumen compatible with 0.014” guidewires. The IMX™ needle is used in interventionalist setting with patient under general anesthesia and this device is not intended to be life supporting or life sustaining. The hypodermic needle is intended to be used with a luer slip or luer lock syringe for aspiration and injection of fluids for medical purpose. 


It can be used for Percutaneous Nephrostomy procedures, Cytological biopsies, needle-aspirations, thoracentesis exploratory punctures, to inject contrast dyes, percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTC), vascular and lymphatic access. 

Device Description

The IMX™ needle is a sterilized, single use, general surgical use 21 Gauge by 10, 15, 20, and 25cm length, hypodermic needle. It consists of a hub, needle tube with curved lancet tip, needle cap/stylet, and a protective plastic sheath to prevent damage while in the packaging. It is compatible with a luer slip or luer lock syringes.
